Remarks
Synonym: Phormidium amoenum. - Isolated from peat (sample des. "00"). - Produces geosmin. - Does not produce any of the toxins microcystin, anatoxin, cylindrospermopsin or saxitoxin (ELISA tested). - Black-green biomass. Long, motile trichomes, narrowing towards ends, with calyptra. Cells appr. Square, 5,5 µm wide. Similar to NIVA-CYA 315.
